Durante el último decenio, 375 jóvenes incautas o desprotegidas, pobres todas, algunas casi niñas, fueron asesinadas en la fronteriza y alborotada Ciudad Juárez, a la que esta semana llegaron seis especialistas de la ONU para escrutar los expedientes y restos de 91 víctimas y las averiguaciones judiciales. El último cadáver fue localizado por un campesino, el pasado 2 de septiembre, en el ribazo de un camino. Los otros aparecieron en zonas desérticas, entre cactus y guijarros.
El presidente mexicano, Vicente Fox, despachó 300 agentes federales a esa ciudad y creó un comisionado especial para ayudar en el esclarecimiento de los crímenes, la mayoría impunes. Pueden haber sido cometidos por borrachos, enfermos mentales, canallas de diversa condición, asesinos en serie, comerciantes de pornografía snuff, narcos o mafias del tráfico de órganos...
